As part of our long-term strategy to continue this growth, an opportunity exists for a Warehouse/Logistics Manager (Europe) with experience managing warehouse and logistics teams in three European countries, Germany, United Kingdom and France.This role presents a unique opportunity for an accomplished logistics manager to join an established, sector-leading, organization and contribute to the development of systems and processes to underpin a significant period of growth and operational refinement. Your responsibilities will include: · Act as single point of contact for communications between the headquarter and the European offices/warehouses.· Overseeing 2 warehouses located in Germany and United Kingdom and 1 warehouse in France (in 2022). · Be responsible for leading and coordinating finance, risk and compliance, health & safety, human resources, communications and legal services on behalf of SOMLE.· Finding the most suitable warehouse units across Europe according to business growth strategy · Plan and coordinate the company's supply chain & logistics activities including overseas Freight Forwarding· Ability to manage and support staff, and manage external relationships · Warehousing and distribution,movements and transportation.· Supply chain and inventory management· Project management· HR/Employment Management and associated record keeping;· Ongoing continued improvement and performance analysis. About you · To be successful in this role you will have evidence of extensive experience at a senior level within in a similar working environment as well as experience in a warehouse/logistics related discipline.· You will be someone who considers themselves to be a strategic thinker, who is able to provide value-add solutions and to make decisions in tight time frames whilst working in what can be a high-pressured environment.· Be familiar with the European Union's transport connectivity and infrastructure· Understand national employment laws and the country's planning laws· Knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the warehouse sector. · The ability to work with a minimum of supervision and individually, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.· Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.· Experience with financial and budget management· A strong understanding of Inventory Management Principles · A strong understanding of Logistics and Freight Forwarding activities· Strategic thinking and implementation, with a highly analytical mind and strong attention to detail.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in German and Mandarin· Knowledge of French is highly desirable · Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or similar related field will be highly regarded.
