MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE To maximise the effectiveness of the Account managers by calling customers for their orders, producing high quality leads and working as a team towards agreed set targets and profitability goals.   To provide a high level of sales support by ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient, professional and timely manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Calling a set list of regular customers for their orders Identifying new customers to call from internet research Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for the sales force with the emphasis on high quality leads Proactively follow up leads generated from canvassing by the account managers Upsell to existing customers with new products or any products we hold that they aren’t buying from us Work closely with the Account Managers to achieve sales objectives.   Identify any issues with customers and report back to Account Managers Negotiate commercial terms within set guidelines Attend weekly meetings with the Account Managers to update information and discuss any issues. Liaise effectively with all departments within Friendship Foods to ensure customer requirements are met. Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing best practise ideas   PROSPECTS Successful Telesales people can expect to be promoted to Account managers within a 6-12-month timescale providing they have continually met or exceeded set targets     PERSON SPECIFICATION Knowledge/Experience Ability to speak Chinese, Mandarin or Thai essential Experience within an Oriental food environment business / restaurant preferable Product Knowledge of Oriental food ranges preferable Computer Skills essential Experience of working with Sage or similar software preferable   Skills with People Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external) Excellent communication skills – verbal and written Ability to persuade influence and negotiate effectively at all levels with or within and outside the organisation   Competences Self-motivated and determined Achievement orientated Ability to use own initiative Ability to perform effectively when there are pressure peaksSets high standards and consistently achieves them   Flexibility Willing and able to work unsocial hours Willing and able to attend company meetings which take place outside of normal working hours   Send your CV to cvs@vesteyfoods.com
